The Garden Planting Calendar Shows You the Best Time to Break Ground

The Garden Planting Calendar Shows You the Best Time to Break Ground The spring planting season isn't too far off, but if you're not sure when you plant your asparagus versus eggplant, the Garden Planting Calendar is a webapp that can help, no matter where you live. Just type in your zip code or city name to see planting dates for your area.

Just type in your postal code, city name, or even notable landmark near where you live, and the service will come back with some useful data on when the last frost for your region normally is, when it's predicted to be this year, and specific planting dates for everything from kale to potatoes to radishes to tomatoes.

The webapp currently covers locations in North America, so keep that in mind before you get started. If you have information for your area, the service lets you add your own data so it's included in the database. If you think the dates are wrong for your area, you can also propose a correction.
