Seaford School Board Interviews Three Interim Business Chief ...

The Seaford Board of Education interviewed three possible interim superintendent for business candidates in an executive session late Thursday night and has also received applications from several others interested in the permanent business chief position to replace the retiring Ken Aldrich.

Seaford Superintendent of Schools Brian Conboy said during Thursday's regular school board meeting that the three interim candidates are all retired business chiefs who have worked in other districts. The school board has been discussing whether to bring on an interim assistant superintendent for business to serve out the remainder of the 2012/13 year or to hire a permanent replacement for Aldrich once his retirement takes effect on Nov. 3.

Conboy said the district has received 75 applications for the permanent assistant superintendent for business position. He has said previously that the ideal candidate for the interim as well as permanent position would be someone that is certified as a school business administrator.?
