Burberry Plaid on Coffee Shop Chairs Results in Legal Action ...

by T+B Blog Team on April 2, 2012

The d?cor in the Armenian coffee shop chain, Jazzve, includes chairs covered in fabric that looks like something familiar ? Burberry?s iconic tartan plaid.

Jazzve?s decorating choice has resulted in Burberry filing a trademark infringement suit against them. The suit follows a cease and desist letter from Burberry that was sent last November.

If you take a look at Jazzve?s website, the rotating photographs in the Flash banner at the top include one that shows the chairs in question. One earlier report of the story stated that Jazzve?s website actually included a mention of ?Burberry pattern fabric,? but as of this writing, it no longer appears in the ?About Us? section.

What?s the most unusual fabric you?ve seen on a piece of furniture?
